Historical-Monumental tour 

The archaeological heritage dating Age Prehistoric and Protohistoric in the Gulf of Patti, as well as numerous historical monuments scattered around the area, make this area a treasure of history and culture of immeasurable value.

PATTI
The city's name Epacten has Greek origins. It means "on the shore" and, apart from referring to its enviable geographical location, halfway between Capo Calavà and Capo Tindari, It suggests its remarkable past, whose history traces are deduced both from the archaeological sites of the Roman Villa and the Greek Polis Tyndari, as its medieval old town enriched by monuments, museums, churches and palaces.

OLIVERI
The first settlement near Oliveri was founded on Mount Tindari by Dori's civilization. From the beginning, the inhabitants used this site as a coastal center. Then, as the whole Sicily, Oliveri became a Roman territory, well-known for the great abundance of fish.
The geographer Edrisi was the first to pass on the name Oliveri. He narrated about Labiri, the old name of Oliveri, in one of his work of the 12th Century, describing the city as "a beautiful and charming farmhouse, with a big castle on the sea coast, some houses, some good lands ( ... ) some perpetual creeks on the banks ( ... ) with a beautiful harbor in whom they catch a lot of tuna".
Just the Castle was the center around which the village was born, almost entirely inhabited by fishermen specialized in the fishing of tuna.

TERME VIGLIATORE
Terme Vigliatore owes its name to the rich source of thermal waters, known since ancient times for its therapeutic properties. Today It attracts many fans of "wellness tourism". The old name of this source was "Spring of Venus" and It's mentioned by the tales of Pliny the Elder, the natural scientist of the 1st Century A.C. In the same period was built the Roman Villa. It has been brought to light in the 50's of last Century. Today, the Roman Villa can be considered one of the most representative patrician residences of the High Empire in Sicily.

BARCELLONA POZZO DI GOTTO
It's the most populous city of the province, after Messina. The history of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto has ancient origins, as testified by the numerous archeological sites, such as the Greek Necropolis on St. Onofrio Mount. This area is a source of precious artifacts, some of which are preserved in the British Museum in London. The city center offers a great example of modern art: the monument called "Orange seed", by the famous sculptor Emilio Isgrò.

MILAZZO
The ancient Mylae stands on a peninsula overlooking the Aeolian Islands. It's a primary center of tourist and culture attraction for the value of its artistic heritage, the richness of Mediterranean flora, the glory of its past.
The Castle is the most representative monument of the City. It stands on the top of the ancient village representing one of the greatest fortified compound within the whole of Europe.
